LifeStart® Maternity Management

LifeStart®, our award winning maternity management program, provided by our Care Management division, is designed to improve care, reduce costs, and track outcomes. Specialty-trained registered nurses give state-of-the-art care, education, and counseling, supporting families to have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. Participant satisfaction is exceptional. Over its more than eighteen-year existence, this program has realized an ROI over 4 to 1.

We currently offer three separate but interlinked LifeStart® Maternity Management Programs:

Preconceptional Program that provides:

  • Risk assessment to those planning a pregnancy within the next 12 months
  • Individualized education and counseling to reduce risks and promote health in preparation for pregnancy
  • Access to a 24/7/365 toll-free helpline

Prenatal Program that provides:

  • Comprehensive risk assessments and related education/counseling/support during scheduled calls throughout pregnancy and early postpartum
  • Individualized educational materials to reinforce recommendations
  • Access to a 24/7/365 toll-free helpline

Postpartum Program (available in Wickliffe and Cleveland, OH) that provides

  • Comprehensive assessments of mothers, infants and families in home settings
  • Skilled nursing care to meet identified needs
  • Coordination with hospital personnel, physicians, advanced practice nurses and community agencies

All maternity management programs include:

  • One-on-one management by a qualified and experienced registered nurse
  • A family-centered and patient-advocate approach
  • Outcome reports
