Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer

Prior to founding Health Design Plus in 1988, Mrs. Ruth Coleman had more than 20 years of experience in HMO and hospital management, patient care, and nursing education. Her experience includes several executive HMO and hospital management positions with responsibility for network development, utilization management, customer service, quality management, marketing, strategic planning, and operations. Coleman used this breadth of managed care and care delivery experience to create an organization that provides high quality management for employer sponsored health benefit plans.

Her experience, expertise and leadership have guided Health Design Plus through incredible growth, recognized by numerous awards, including the prestigious Inc. 500 and ten consecutive years as part of the Weatherhead 100, along with being named one of the Top Ten Women Business Owners in Northeast Ohio, and a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Chief Financial Officer

Louis Castellano is Chief Financial Officer for Health Design Plus. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for the oversight of all Health Design Plus internal finance functions, including client banking, client billing services, budgeting, and forecasting. He also leads the preparation process for new client proposal pricing and current client renewal pricing. When he joined the Health Design Plus team in 2001, he maintained a dual responsibility for the Human Resource function until 2008. In 2006, he received oversight of four additional operational areas: Claims and Customer Service, Compliance and Quality which he continued until 2008.

He began his career in 1980 with Deloitte Haskins and Sells as a Senior Auditor. In 1984, he obtained a growth role as a Senior Financial Analyst for the NMR Division of Picker International. In 1987, he was hired by Mt. Sinai Medical Center as Director of Internal Audit and later promoted to Assistant Vice President of Finance where he was responsible for budgeting, cost accounting, internal audit, investments and tax management. There, his expertise developed budget and cost reduction programs and initiatives. Approximately 10 years later, he joined Cuyahoga Physician Network, Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer. Through his strong leadership capabilities, he built and oversaw all financial functions and information systems, including the coordination of employee benefits, contract reviews, and physician billing and collection initiatives.

He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Miami University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University, both located in Ohio. He passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in May, 1980, and currently holds a Non-Practicing, Certified Public Accountant designation.

Britt Hayes

Vice President of Sales

Britt Hayes is Vice President of Sales for Health Design Plus. In his role as Vice President of Sales, he is responsible for developing new relationships with various stakeholders in Health Design Plus’s current target market. With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, he applies his expertise implementing innovative selling strategies to support Health Design Plus’s business objectives. Additionally, he provides education and information necessary to support client needs and streamline processes for better health plan solutions.

Prior to joining the Health Design Plus team, he held various senior roles in the healthcare industry such as Great-West Healthcare/CIGNA, and Acordia/Wells Fargo of West Virginia. He is experienced in managing vendor relationships including PPO networks, reinsurance carrier markets, and prescription drug management companies.

Mr. Hayes received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications, with a minor in Business from the University of Charleston in West Virginia. He volunteers for United Way, the Special Olympics, and is a member of the National Alumni Board of Directors for the University of Charleston.

Mrs. Kordish has over 25 years experience as entrepreneur, consultant, and clinical manager. Co-founder and Treasurer of Professional Nurse Associates, providing maternal-child care management programs for large corporations and managed care organizations.

Chief Operating Officer

John Laird is Chief Operating Officer for Health Design Plus. As Chief Operating Officer, he is a strategic stakeholder responsible for the direction and overall operation of the company. With over 40 years of healthcare experience, he is accountable for developing and implementing programs which will efficiently operationalize the suite of Health Design Plus products and services.

He began his career with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, in various management and director roles focusing on operations, research, and utilization coordinating expansions, generating revenue growth and implementing risk sharing and settlement programs. In 1986, he joined St. Louis Advanced Managed Care where as a General Manager, he assumed responsibility for engineering specifications for a third party HMO and PPO administrative system, and managed multiple systems conversions involving risk-tiers.

Shortly thereafter in 1989, he gained experience in the TPA market as Vice President for Cost Management Technologies, where he developed, implemented and enhanced a medical expense reporting system. Additionally, he managed the implementation of a long-range business plan including strategic marketplace repositioning. In 1997, he held various executive level positions at Ohio Health Group where he analyzed, developed and implemented strategies modifying revenue and expense trends, reducing administrative expenses, and increasing productivity. In 2001, he accepted the role as Vice President for Health Economics for Health Design Plus, managing outside consultants and maintaining clients’ medical trend at less than 50% of the national trend. His expertise is repeatedly proven by innovating strategies for contracting with provider networks, integrating programs to positively impact cost trends across the book of business, and providing critical predictive indicators of future financials through management reporting. He assumed his current role with Health Design Plus in 2010.

Mr. Laird earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the College of Wooster in Ohio and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. He is an active volunteer for his local church.

Mr. Strickland has 13 years experience with both a major insurance carrier and a leading developer of health benefit management software solutions. Management, development and sales positions in claims operations, and systems development. Certified developer in multiple programming languages.

Medical Director

Eric M. Yasinow, MD is Medical Director for Health Design Plus. In this role, he ensures the utilization review and case management decisions are in accordance with best medical practices. He serves on Health Design Plus’s Appeals and Grievances committee, and is a consultant for the components of the Good Health by Design disease management program, Healthy Living™. He also serves as chairman of the company’s Medical Dental Advisory Committee.

Dr. Yasinow received a Bachelor of Science degree with high distinction in mathematics from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He completed his post-graduate training at University Hospitals of Cleveland, where he currently remains affiliated. In 1986, he joined the private practice of Drs. Coehn, Kozokoff, and Liberman which later formed the Internal Medicine Group of Cleveland. In 2007, he assumed the title Medical Director of Risk Management in addition to caring for patients. In this area of responsibility, he serves as a liaison between University Hospital’s medical practices and attorneys, and designs and implements Clinical Risk Management Education programs. In tandem with this role, he was also the Assistant Medical Director for Health Design Plus.

Dr. Yasinow is certified by American Board of Internal Medicine. He participates in professional societies such as the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, and the Northern Ohio Medical Association. He continues to show passion for the education of future physicians, holding an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Case Western University School of Medicine.

Director of Care Management

Mrs. Burrow has over 15 years of managed care experience and over 10 years of leadership experience in disease management. She has a background in care coordination and disease management program development with proven successful implementation. She is an expert at identifying client and member needs and as such has consistent delivery of high quality outcomes. At Health Design Plus she is responsible for overseeing the operations of utilization and case management, along with lifestyle and disease management solutions.

Bob Consiglio BS

Director of Information Systems

Bob Consiglio is Director of Information Services for Health Design Plus. In his role, he is responsible for all desktop application standardization and developing methodologies that enhance the Health Design Plus technological infrastructure. With over 30 years of information system experience in the healthcare insurance sector, he contributes to the corporate vision by leading teams and managing projects from inception to completion. His expertise also includes managing professional information technology resources that allow the organization to offer integrated, state-of-the-art applications in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Prior to this experience, Mr. Consiglio held other integral roles within the healthcare industry. Beginning his career at ProSystems, Inc., he accepted a role as Program Developer, creating custom applications on a consulting basis for clients supporting manufacturing controls. He was then promoted to Manager of Development, managing application programmers to produce claims payment systems. In 1998, he joined Antares Management Solutions, Inc. as a Manager of Information Systems Development, where he assisted in placing Antares into a new niche of outsourcing IT resources. Some of his most significant contributions included redesigning the corporate webpage to be more user accepting with new branding elements, implementing new outsourced claims applications, and supporting Y2K readiness initiatives.

In 2004 he accepted his current role at Health Design Plus. He developed the department with new organizational protocols including prioritization, costing, accuracy, and security for optimal results in terms of client satisfaction and timely project completion. He also developed the Health Design Plus member portal to include new levels of functionality that meet strategic client objectives.

Mr. Consiglio earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration focusing on Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He participates as a member of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Community Concert Band and volunteers his time assisting in the development of musical talent within the Brecksville-Broadview Heights School System music department. He is also active in local community theatres.

Francis Fikes BA

Frances Fikes, BA

Compliance Officer and Director of Recovery

Frances E. Fikes is Compliance Office and Director of Recovery for Health Design Plus. In this role, she is responsible for developing policies and procedures to execute compliance for all Federal and State regulatory requirements pertaining to Health Design Plus and its clients. She also oversees subrogation activities and interacts with all clients regarding any worker's compensation issues.

With over 30 years of medical claims background, Ms. Fikes began her career with Prudential Group Health in 1976. During her twenty plus years with Prudential, she assumed the role of Claims Department Manager maintaining Prudential's high production and quality standards. These standards resulted "no-loss" of clients in her specific department.

Ms. Fikes was chosen by its corporate office to participate on a transitional task team converting all offices to a new claims paying system. Using her skills and expertise from other locations, she developed a Technical Department for the Northern Ohio Group Health Claim Office which she managed until operations ceased. This department eventually housed the quality, auditing, system security, client plan build, provider and eligibility for all clients in the office. Ms Fikes was responsible for providing claim system demonstrations for existing and perspective clients. She also instituted various training classes for topics such as Risk Management and the Baldridge National Quality Program.

Joining Health Design Plus in 1998, Ms. Fikes was responsible for developing policies and procedures Company wide. In 2000, she became Claims Director for the Findlay and Hudson locations, facilitating client claims and technical administration. In 2002, she assumed the leadership role as Director of Compliance and Recovery which evolved into her current role.

Ms. Fikes received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Central State University in Ohio. She is an active member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), a certified member of Health Insurance Association of America (HIAA) and is a member of the Users Executive Committee working with our software vendor, Eldorado Computing, Inc.

Molly J. Kinnell, B.S.

Director of Client Informatics

Molly J. Kinnell is Director of Client Informatics for Health Design Plus. In her role, she is responsible for monitoring and managing client healthcare cost trend across the book of business. With over 10 years of experience within multi-departments at Health Design Plus, her contributions allow the organization to move the needle toward significant client cost-savings and better overall efficiency.

Prior to this experience, she has held other integral roles at Health Design Plus. Beginning her career at Health Design Plus in 1999, she was part of the Provider Services team, where she developed client specific network development and recruitment, performed provider credentialing, and participated in fee schedule negotiations. In 2001, she moved into client integration as a Client Manager, managing complete client implementation processes, including additional services implementation, and managing the daily servicing of large accounts. In 2002, she assumed an additional role of Eligibility Manager to develop full automation of the eligibility process and groomed a new department utilizing improved internal processes for efficiency and scalability.

In 2005, she was promoted to Manager, Network Development, where she was accountable for analyzing network effectiveness and placing new networks and solutions with potential and current clients. Additionally in 2006, she accepted the role of Manager, Client Development where she was integral in developing quarterly and annual reports as well as maximizing Health Design Plus's operational efficiency. She was promoted to her current position in 2009.

She earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Mathematics and Biology from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Lescak-Deitch

Director of Provider Strategies

Jennifer Lescsak-Deitch is Director of Provider Strategies for Health Design Plus. In her role, she is responsible for vendor research and management (PPO’s, PBM’s, Stop-Loss companies) and conducts provider contracting with hospitals and specialty providers. With over 16 years of experience in the healthcare industry, she demonstrates success by leading PPO network management and analytical reviews to provide the best network solutions and cost savings to Health Design Plus’s existing and prospective clients. Her most significant areas of expertise includes reviewing large claims and spear-heading the negotiation process with providers, leading to millions of dollars in additional savings for clients.

Prior to joining Health Design Plus in 2007, she held numerous leadership roles in provider contracting and relations, operations, national sales, network management, and strategic business development with one of the managed care industry’s largest PPO plans. Immediately following this endeavor, she worked as a consultant for an e-government healthcare technology company, where she was in charge of national sales, business development, and marketing. 

She studied Business Administration at Kent State University. She is licensed to sell Life, Accident, Health and Variable Annuity Products in the State of Ohio. She performs volunteer and fund-raising work for her community athletic association.

Charles W. Leach MBA

Director of Plan Administration

Charles W. Leach is Director of Plan Administration for Health Design Plus. Joining Health Design Plus in 2003, his duties include the operational management for claims, customer service, and provider data management. He is also responsible for performance metrics and fiscal budgets for all clients. His accomplishments focus on ensuring all accounts are within performance metrics of 90 days, the implementation of a more streamlined process to increase auto-adjudication, and the implementation of a Medicare cross-over function.

He has held a broad array of leadership roles within the healthcare industry. Early in his career, he was Manager of the General Motors Claim System for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Ohio. In 1994, he performed as a Claims Administrator for Cigna Healthcare, where he provided expertise in implementing a national, centralized claim processing center for Medicare products. Immediately following in 1997, he became Claims Director for PacifiCare, where he was responsible for the claims adjudication functions. In 1988, he brought his experience to United Healthcare, where he accepted the position of Site Director for two locations. There, he was accountable for claims processing, customer service, medical review, provider data, fraud detection, and all functional areas of Medicare Part B. He stabilized service center performance metrics while maintaining regulatory performance requirements for the company.

He received a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.

Joan Matz, RN

Director of Client Services

Joan Matz is the Director of Client Services for Health Design Plus. As a Director, she is responsible for servicing major national group clients and their consulting partners. Playing a consultative role, she institutes comprehensive service implementation practices, delivers actionable claims administration, care and disease management data, and launches engaging tactics for the wellness suite of products; critical to a company's decision making process.

She began her nursing career in various leadership nursing roles for companies such as St. Francis Medical Center, Penncrest School District, and Hamot Medical Center. In 1984, she joined Managed Care of America, Inc., as President of Operations, directing various initiatives that upheld cost containment measures. She performed pre-certification, concurrent and retrospective review, and hospital audits, interacting closely with various hospital models, large case management companies, and third-party review boards. In 1986, she was responsible for employee benefit claims as a Claims Manager, supervising corporate benefit reviews, directing customer service, and managing technical staff.

In 1995, she joined Cleveland Clinic Health Care Ventures, Inc. as a Manager of their Homecare Division. Her expertise in the healthcare industry prepared her for opportunities to enhance the clinical service of clients as well as supervise field staff. She performed quality assurance reporting, internal case management, and nurse scheduling. Prior to her current role, in 1997 she came to Health Design Plus as a Manager of Health Services, performing many of the client advisory duties performed today. In 1998, She was promoted to Director of Care Management where she supervised and led a team of Utilization and Case Management Nurses, setting quality benchmarks and delivering on those levels of quality for better trend management of the clients served.

Ms. Matz graduated from St. Francis General Hospital School of Nursing. She is a member of the Auburn Investment Club and an Associate of the Sisters of Notre Dame. She volunteers as an avid fund-raiser for the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.

Associate Vice President of Strategic Client Management

Denise C. Mirtich is Vice President of Strategic Planning for Health Design Plus. With over 15 years of healthcare experience, she joined Health Design Plus to build upon the current consultative culture, creating solutions that assists clients in accomplishing their financial healthcare goals. She is also accountable for the metamorphosis of current tactical service practices into strategic action plans, building a higher level of expertise throughout the book of business. A strategic portion of her action plan includes leading teams to build and implement proactive internal process efficiencies that result in meeting unique client needs.

Prior to this role, Ms. Mirtich began her career in 1991 with Cleveland Clinic Health Care Ventures as a Homecare System Administrator, monitoring and managing two major systems for the home healthcare division of Cleveland Clinic. In 1998, she became a Systems Analyst for Antares Management Solutions where she managed the successful conversion of internal systems and interfacing applications for Y2K compliance. In 2000, she was promoted to a Regional Account Manager creating and managing insurance administration solutions for multiple national organizations. Within this role she focused on successful contract negotiations, market conduct exams, and prompt problem resolution. In 2008, she was promoted to National Sales Manager where she focused on strategic client solutions in insurance administration with expertise in business process outsourcing, self-funding, and hospital benefit plan administration.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio. She is licensed in the State of Ohio to sell Health and Life products and is certified in Project and Leadership Management from Cleveland State University. Her charitable contributions include participating in a theatrical production for P.I.N.K. Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the MS Pedal to the Point for the Muscular Sclerosis Society, and is an avid runner for the Amytrophic Lateral Society Foundation.

Sandra L. Pogozelski

Director of Appeals and Grievances

Sandra L. Pogozelski is Director of Appeals and Grievances for Health Design Plus. In her role, she is responsible for fostering positive relations with various national Departments of Insurance on behalf of the Health Design Plus book of business. In addition, she also develops and manages effective operational procedures for the current Appeals and Grievance processes. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance industries, she demonstrates success by the resolution of compliance violations and achievements in the areas of claims and appeals processing, managed care, and the privacy of health and financial information.

Prior to joining Health Design Plus in 2010, she held influential roles in compliance, health information management, and underwriting. She began her career in 1988 with Ceres Group, Inc., where she managed and directed numerous areas, focusing on administrative operations. She advanced her roles of responsibility as a Director of Market Conduct, managing all market conduct activities and implementation of all operational changes required in achieving enhanced compliance requirements. In 2003, she was promoted to Vice President of Market Conduct where she became the compliance lead for company-wide HIPAA and GLBA Privacy, HIPAA Transaction and Code Sets, GLBA security, and Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage. She also acted as the company liaison with Federal Agencies and State Insurance Departments related to market conduct regulation and managed all market conduct examinations for various affiliated companies. Her most recent role began in 2007 as a Director of Health Information Management with Litigation Management, Inc. where she designed and implemented quality programs and improved overall accuracy ratios to exceptional standard levels.

Ms. Pogozelski is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership at Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio. She also holds designations as a Health Insurance Associate (HIA) and HIPAA Professional (HIPAAP). She is currently active in the Girl Scouts of America and volunteers with community dinners and mission outreach initiatives through her church.

Manager of Marketing and Client Services

Stacy A. M. Beck is Manager of Marketing and Client Services for Health Design Plus. She currently has over 15 years of managed healthcare experience and is responsible for all aspects of Marketing, including new corporate branding and messaging, developing a strong sales communication strategy, and launching effective client communication programs to promote the newest suite of wellness products, Good Health by Design. She provides expertise in user initiatives to increase the optimization of the consumer experience, while assisting with the daily management of specific clients.

Prior to joining the Health Design Plus team, she served in various Sales and Marketing roles with the Cleveland Clinic, Human Arc and most notably, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Ohio, where she managed consumer sales and marketing for the individual and family product lines, and business to business sales and marketing opportunities for the broker distribution channel.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, focusing on marketing from Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio. She is licensed in the state of Ohio to sell Life, Health, Accident and Variable Annuity products and is Professional Academy of Health Management (PAHM) certified. She currently volunteers for the American Heart Association, and the Cleveland Plus Healthcare Summit.

Stacy A. M. Beck, B.A., PAHM

Ashley N. Cornelius, BA

Account Manager

Ashley N. Cornelius is an Account Manager for Health Design Plus. She currently has over 6 years experience in various industries in a client management role and provides superior client satisfaction and retention strategies as a direct point of contact for her assigned book of business.

Ms. Cornelius holds various other key roles within Health Design Plus. Assisting external and internal clients in meeting challenging wellness goals, she leads an implementation team for the Wellness Counts product, instituting and gaining momentum for client and employee participation to make behavior changes that enhance healthier lifestyles. Recently, she has also assumed the role of Patient Advocate for the Lowe's Centers of Excellence Program offered in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic.

In 2006, she began her career at Health Design Plus where she led and managed the Human Resources Function as a Human Resources Generalist. There she instituted a new system for hiring employees, researched and educated team members on changes in employment law, handled regulatory issues including COBRA compliance, cash and amenities, and was the point person for new employee on-boarding. Prior to Health Design Plus, she held a supervisory role for The Home Savings Bank, where she created a culture of close relations and trust with individual clients.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resources Management from Kent State University in Ohio. Additionally, she is a business partner and student mentor for Kent State University's College of Business and also performs volunteer and fundraising activities for the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, and a community athletic association.

Christine R. Garapic, R.N., B.S.N., C.P.N.P.

Christine R. Garapic, RN, BSN, CPNP

Manager of Good Health by Design

Christine R. Garapic is Manager of Good Health by Design for Health Design Plus. In this role, she is responsible for collectively managing all health and wellness initiatives know as Good Health by Design. Her vast experience in the healthcare industry has positioned her as an integral contributor in the development and management of these program components including Wellness Counts, Healthy Living, Lifestart, and Carewise. She also is experienced in leading teams of skilled health professionals and working collaboratively with vendor partners, ensuring successful outcomes through the Good Health by Design suite of products.

Prior to this role, she began her career in community-based healthcare, focusing on primary healthcare, prevention, and wellness promotion. She has held significant roles at the Visiting Nurse Association of Cleveland, City of Cleveland Department of Public Health, and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Ohio. She has shared her expertise speaking at educational lectures and public forums, as well as a contributor to the planning and implementation of grant funded educational and health screening programs targeted to pediatric and prenatal populations.

She began her career at Health Design Plus as a clinical nurse in 1999, and joined the management team in 2004, focusing on the maternity management sector. In 2006, she was promoted to her current role.

She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The Ohio State University and completed the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner training program at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio. She also currently maintains an active Certificate of Authority (COA) as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and a Certificate To prescribe (CTP) in the State of Ohio.

She leads and manages a "Back to School Rally", volunteer community service program for children, coordinating over 20 Medina social service agencies.

Account Manager

Susan Heinl is an Account Manager for Health Design Plus. She is responsible for all daily aspects of account administration and client satisfaction, including claims processing, customer service, sales, new product and service quoting, renewals, and prospecting. Her specialty includes working with large employers of 500+, negotiating renewals, managing plan implementations, and building effective client strategies for greater cost control.

She began her insurance career as a Customer Service Representative for Aetna in 1992. Over the years with Aetna, she grew in various roles such as sales and marketing, quoting and implementing new business. Continuing in the insurance realm, she decided to apply her expertise toward the broker channel of distribution where she transitioned to the role of Account Manager. There she provided strategic client service, including conducting open enrollment meetings, on-site client visits, negotiating and presenting renewals and developing cross-selling opportunities.

She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Akron in Ohio. She currently has a Life, Accident, and health License from the Ohio Department of Insurance. She volunteers for her local school system and athletic association.

Manager of Eligibility

Terry Jaegers is Manager of Eligibility for Health Design Plus. Joining Health Design Plus in 2006, she is responsible for managing the adherence of governmental policies affecting the daily operations of membership enrollment and eligibility. She is an operational liaison between client needs, the systems utilized, and the cost reduction assumed by her strategic planning and implementation. Her specific areas of expertise include managing the processes relating to the eligibility of claims, and ID card processes for clients within the Health Design Plus family.

With over 20 years of healthcare experience, she began her career with Champion International in 1981, applying her expertise in accounting. In 1991, she joined Parma Community General Hospital where she assumed responsibility in various financial roles such as payment analytics, financial counseling, revenue enhancement, and managing collections in a customer service capacity. In 1996, she also assumed a role in tax preparation services for individuals and small businesses with H & R Block.

Ms. Jaegers earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio.  She is a Master Tax Advisor and can nationally represent entities with tax issues as an Enrolled Agent. She is certified in Medical Coding, a counselor in the State of Ohio, and is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

Manager of Customer Service

Yvonne Latson is manager of Customer Service for Health Design Plus. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of customer inquiry focusing on continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of call center practices, productivity, training, and operation. With over 15 years of call center and telecommunications project management, she leads a state-of-the-art call center team, meeting rigorous client performance guarantee standards in call quality, customer satisfaction, metrics, and attrition.

In 1988, Ms. Latson's career launched with AT&T, where she assumed various roles in sales and systems consulting and then accepted a role as Project manager. In this role, she was responsible for voice and data project implementation for mid to large size companies; providing technical descriptions of service offerings and proposal cost statements. In 2006, she advanced her career by accepting a position as Call Center Site Manager at Computer Sciences Corporation, managing a Medicare Part D program inclusive of outsourcing services for a major pharmaceutical benefits company. There she provided strategy and oversite of call center operations and developed efficient business processes on client location. In 2007, she applied her knowledge and expertise as a Service Delivery Manager for Teletech Holdings, Inc. leading the charge for exceeding the daily operations of a cell phone (T-Mobile) and Medicare Part D (United Healthcare) programs.

She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from Baldwin Wallace College located in Ohio and is also Six Sigma Greenbelt certified.

Manager of Claims

Chris Murray is Manager of Claims for Health Design Plus. In her current role, she is responsible for the accurate and timely adjudication of medical and dental claims, including monitoring claims aging, overpayment collections and staff performance of on-site and remote processors.

Overall, she has over 20 years of claims experience including durable medical equipment, pharmacy, vision, and medical, as well as over 13 years of supervisory experience.  She began her career in 1989, with Revco DS Inc. meeting customer expectations in the areas of Third Party Claims processing and analysis. She then became the PBM Eligibility Supervisor, managing all processes related to eligibility data collection for pharmacy benefit management clients. In 1995, she accepted the role of Third Party Worker’s Compensation Claims Supervisor, where she supervised receivables and payment collections of all Workers Compensation drug related purchases. Shortly thereafter, she worked for Florida Cancer Specialist a Managed Care Representative, obtaining all insurance pre-certifications necessary for chemotherapy patients. In 2000, she supervised central support staff for NCS Healthcare, responsible for third party billing insurance claims for 38 long term care pharmacies in the Eastern United States. In 2001, she became a Supervisor for Claims Administration Employer Group and Discounts for Cole Managed Vision, where she assisted in the development of processing software, production reporting, and HIPAA policy development.
