About Us

Our History

Ruth Coleman, a 33-year veteran of health care management, founded Health Design Plus in 1988. Ms. Coleman brought her experience as a nurse, college instructor, hospital executive and health plan vice president to her leadership of this award-winning company.

Health Design Plus has a 20-year history of continuous success. Initially a care management company, Health Design Plus soon expanded into network development and management. In 1996, Health Design Plus acquired Claims Administration Services and in 1999 acquired Professional Nurse Associates, a recognized leader in maternity management.

Today, located in Hudson, Ohio, Health Design Plus is a national provider of managed care services for mid to large sized, self-insured employers.

Patient Advocacy is integrated into everything we do.

The health care system can be confusing, especially when employees or family members are injured or ill. When they need help, we encourage them to contact our Nurse Managers at any time with their questions and concerns. The nurses can help them understand options and make informed decisions about their medical care.
